Cashew Cheese
2 dl. Raw, unsalted cashew nuts
3 ½ dl. Warm water
1 Red bell pepper, rinsed and chopped
3 T. Lemon juice
1-2 t. Dried dill
(1 clove garlic)
1 t. Onion-powder
1 T. Yeast flakes / 1 t. Veg. Bouillon
1 t. Herb salt
1 t. Sea salt
(A little bit cayenne)
4 T. Corn starch / 3 t. Agar agar
Procedure:
Grind the cashewnuts to fine flour in a blender / thermomix.
With cornflour: Add the other ingredients and mix all thoroughly in the blender.
Pour into a pan, and let cook for about 2 min. while continually stirring.
Pour into a container and cool. Enjoy! 🙂
With Agar-agar: Stir 3 t. agar-agar into 3 1/2 dl. cooking water. Let cook briefly.
Add all ingredients and the agar-agar water and mix for 2 min. in the blender.
Pour into a container and cool. Enjoy! 🙂
